What a difference the road makes. Three years ago, September and October were great months for swell but travelers ran the risk of the road being washed out for days at a time. Those days are pretty much behind us.

Yes, we still get rain in September and especially October, but the swell is solid and the waves are almost empty. The last two years the waves have been almost empty and the roads have been tip top.

The historical forecast for September calls for a 5’ average swell, the dominant winds are offshore and the interval is 13 seconds — 90% of the time! October is pretty much the same 82% of the time. September and October can be great, but November is a favorite month with 4’ average swell, the dominant winds are offshore and the interval is 13 seconds — 63% of the time.

There is almost always some swell in Nicaragua and with 300+ days of all day offshore winds a year, you will get tubed.
Now that the roads are better, we’re staying open year round and have a tube with your name on it.

Come on down with your friends or family.
