Fiji Swell Alert

by | Feb 25, 2011 | Swell Alerts

There has been a moderate long period swell from the south-southwest that has been hitting the Fijian Islands the last couple of days. The conditions have been epic with light and variable north winds with smooth seas making for some epic sessions!

Tweet from @Namotu_Island: “Good day yesterday. Pools and lefts were the go. Today is the contest and conditions look great. Blue sky no wind and still some good sets.”

Both the islands of Tavarua and Namotu have been reaping the benefits of this nice swell.  We will see this swell start to fade over the weekend but we still have a few sources for some more SW swell as we head into the latter stages of summer, so stay tuned for new swell alerts.  The best time to travel to Fiji is during the south swell window, which is generally from March through November (so now is the time to book a trip!).
