Telo Island Lodge :: ACCOMMODATIONS

As the name suggests accommodation is lodge style with a twist of class. Constructed in 2006 the Telo Islands Lodge is a giant, open-plan style building right on the lagoon’s edge at Max’s Right.

Sleeping is in two separate air-conditioned bungalows that are attached to the giant, open 23-meter x 15-metre post-and-beam construction house. Each of these attached bungalows has its own shower (hot and cold) and Western style toilet. There are clear views of the surf and jungle from every room of the main lodge building and despite being air-conditioned the rooms are also an open-screen construction giving the feeling of being right in the jungle on the water’s edge.

There are a number of sleeping arrangements that vary from full-size queen beds to normal single bunk- style beds. The sleeping configuration will be dependent on your group. All beds have a permethrin- treated mosquito net and high-quality 100% cotton linen. Each room also has a private deck with undercover surfboard racks.

The lounge in the main building at Telo Island Lodge features comfy chairs, a big-screen television connected to satellite TV, a well-stocked library, huge selection of DVDs, stereo and DV cam playback facility and internet broadband.  Cell phones & Blackberries work well for anybody with an international calling plan.

The lodge is continually making upgrades to various aspects of the operation and will soon complete a two story lagoon bungalow offering greater rooming options.

Food is important to surfers burning calories in the sun all day, and food is plentiful and healthy. Fresh fruit and snacks are always available, and meals are determined by the surf. Fresh fish is the featured dish here, but if you don’t catch anything, or don’t like seafood, there is a variety of foods to keep you fueled and happy: spaghetti, BBQ chicken, curry beef, lasagna, and burritos and stir fried veggies.
