During your stay at Nihiwatu, your home will be one of only six bungalows and two villas that have been hand-built by Indonesian craftsman. Each offers all of the comforts and serenity expected. Your balcony features comfortable rattan chairs and a day bed with views to die for. All of our accommodations are ocean facing and fully air-conditioned with mosquito nets, mini-bars, in-room safes, hot water, hair dryers and bathroom amenities.

There is a minimum stay of five nights but we recommend a stay of one week or more so that you can really experience all that Nihiwatu has to offer - the time you need to relax, explore the island, indulge in sport, make friends among fellow guests and become part of the Nihiwatu family. A shorter visit hardly allows enough time to rest from the stress of travel and enjoy the holiday. We are fortunate to have a very high percentage of returning guests, most who stay longer the second and third times around.

Our rates include airport transfers in Sumba, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, morning and afternoon tea) and all non-alcoholic beverages. Also included is a complimentary massage at our Jungle Spa, as well as a complimentary Sumba horse ride on the beach and a visit to one of the traditional villages nearby Nihiwatu.

Our rates are quoted in United States Dollars and subject to 11% government tax and 10% service charges. For the period of APRIL 1, 2008 to MARCH 31, 2009 the rates are:

For our Luxury Bungalows which are 500 sq ft in size with one bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a furnished balcony overlooking the ocean and sunsets;

***NOTE***  During the months of July 1st through September 15th accommodations incur a surcharge of $50 a night for the Luxury Bungalows and $100 a night for the Villas.

LUXURY BUNGALOW - 2008 RATES

Our Family Villa is 1,550 sq ft in size with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The master bedroom has an on-suite living room and a large bathroom with an outdoor sunken bathtub. The second bedroom features its own outdoor breakfast pavilion overlooking the forest and sea. Available August 10th, 2002.

"Villa Haweri" is Nihiwatu's luxury private villa. Villa Haweri is dramatically positioned on a small headland with over one and half acres of spectacular waterfront land bordered on two sides by water and by the jungle behind.

The villa is separate from the main body of the resort yet close enough to feel a part of it. Living here offers total seclusion and privacy. It is 2,830 sq ft in size with two bedrooms and two bathrooms in the main house. The master bedroom has an on-suite living room and a large bathroom with a sunken bathtub in an outside garden. The Villa also features its own waterfront swimming pool and a large hill top living and dining room, all with stunning views over the ocean and Nihiwatu's private beach
