Maldives “Managed Surf Access”

From 2014 two of the best surf spots in the Maldives, Sultans & Honky’s will be a managed surf location by the company establishing the resort to be built on Thanburudhoo Island; this sustainable management policy will seek to find a balance between low crowds and accessibility.

Local Maldivian surfers and authorized tourist surfers will have access to these two epic breaks. Authorized tourist surfers will include only those booked on Theia & Gurahali surf charters, Chaaya Island Dhonveli Resort and a maximum of 4 surfers from the Four Seasons Resort. There will be a maximum of 2 licensed charter boats at any time.  Just two surf charter boats accessing the two waves off Thanburudhoo will mean epic uncrowded waves for a few lucky surfers!  Book your dream trip today and cruise through the Inner Atolls (North and S Male Atolls) aboard one of our Maldives surf charters scoring perfect uncrowded surf.
