Freedom II: a brand new, state of the art high speed super-wide power catamaran. Custom built exclusively for surfing charters with speed, style, comfort, and space in mind.

Freedom II is an extremely comfortable, exceptionally stable oceangoing vessel built with superior finishes and expert craftsmanship. Being a catamaran, she is as comfortable and spacious as a mono-hull 50% longer in length and not subject to the constant pitching and rolling motions mono-hulls experience at anchor and at sea.

Inside she has been carefully laid out with luxury surf charters in mind. Amenities include 4 guest cabins each with single berths, a spacious air-conditioned saloon, large wraparound sofas with a 360 degree sea view, a full bar, and a 42” LCD T.V.

Exterior areas provide plenty of comfortable spots to relax in the shade, check out the surf, eat, drink, etc, both in the cockpit and up on the flybridge. At night the cockpit is closed in, combining it with the saloon to create a huge air-conditioned space to kick back in.

The yacht’s fuel capacity gives her an approximate range of 2,000 nautical miles at an average cruising speed of 21 knots. This allows your experienced Freedom skipper/guide Lee Dowse and you to explore “out of the way” areas to the north and south of the Mentawai more easily and more quickly than other boats. In the right conditions, Freedom II can cruise at an exceptional maximum speed of 28 knots.

Captain Lee has spent the last 5 years taking people of all levels of surfing to the Mentawai Islands and North Sumatra. His knowledge and keenness for surf combined with Freedom II’s speed means you will quickly find the best waves and maximize surf time. It also opens up a world of choices, destinations, and customized surf trips around the other Sumatran island chains.

Not to miss all those epic waves, trophy fish, smiles, and good times, Captain Lee provides a photo service with his top of the line Cannon EOS digital camera. Let him shoot those all time sessions from the dingy in the channel, and then watch the slideshow that very night while sucking down a few cold ones in the saloon. Captain Lee can then either process the photos for you at port or, should you choose, he can burn a cd of the entire trip at super high resolutions; ready to be blown up to the size of your choice when you get home.

In addition to surfing, enjoy diving, snorkeling, and fishing with equipment provided on board. When it comes to chow time, your western cook will dish up the tastiest meals consisting of a mix of high standard western and Asian cuisine, many times including the fresh fish you just hauled in.
